A Fantastic Homey Atmosphere
The breakfast was a highlight, offering plenty of choice and freshness, while the 24-hour access to tea and coffee made for a cozy vibe. I loved the honor bar with a variety of drinks available whenever we wanted. Just a heads-up, the street noise could be a bit much at times, especially at night.

Original and stylish hotel, extremely friendly staff, loved stunning location adjacent to the old town and the castle as well as restaurants and wine tasting cellar. There was plenty of food for breakfast, including slices of fresh bread, cereal, fruit and eggs. Our superior double room with the castle in beautifully restored old villa, beer, a walk in shower was newly renovated.

Theodore and Monika, along with Karolina, were incredible hosts. Very personable, attentive and genuine! The historical home, a major undertaking in renovation and attention to detail, is the loving project of the owners - and their pride in ownership really shines. Our room was more than expected, super comfortable, well-decorated - and with views of both the river and castle. Breakfast was outstanding and gave us all the energy we needed to spend the whole afternoon romping up to the castle and shopping around the pretty village of Cochem. I am already planning another trip to Cochem and hope to stay at Villa Vinum time and again. Thank you for the memorable stay! Barbara and Joel Landstuhl, Germany

Charming historic hotel, fine river views, unique room features
Noise from the nearby road disrupted sleep, particularly on late nights!!! Bathrooms lacked adequate privacy with frosted glass doors!!! Wi-Fi signal was spotty in certain areas!!!

Charming historic hotel with fine river views.
The check-in process was annoyingly remote through WhatsApp, leaving us feeling disconnected and uninformed. The parking situation is not clearly communicated, and we were taken aback by the additional charge. Breakfast options were limited, lacking the warmth of items like eggs or bacon found in other places.

The location was excellent and perfect, just a short stroll away from a top castle. We tried slices of fresh bread, cereal, fruit, and eggs, everything was brilliant!
Shame the bathroom was tiny.

Loved how cute the place felt. It seemed like home. The breakfast spread was excellent, with beautifully fresh bread with plenty of options. Located just a five-minute walk from the train station, the hotel gave easy access to Cochem's charming streets and the fine views of the river. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a powerful shower. The honor bar was a nice touch, with chilled drinks at your own convenience. The noise from the main street could be a downside, especially since my room faced it. Even with the soundproof windows, you could still hear some street activity at night. Plus, parking was a bit tricky and cramped, potentially causing stress upon arrival. A great stay but some areas could use a little finesse.

Had the most wonderful stay at the hotel. The host is super friendly and most helpful In everyday . He not only singlehandedly brought our 3 huge. luggages to our room , he gave us a choice of 2 very spacious and equally nice rooms to choose from The rooms are equipped with the most modern facilities and squeaky clean. The breakfast is a substantial spread of gourmet food and a feast for the eyes as well . We appreciate that Theo the host arranged for us a great dinner at a beautify restaurant nearby We simply love the place and the hosts Theo and his partner I think the extreme value for money and definitely would recommend it to anyone looking to stay at Cochem
Believe it or not , can't think of anything we dislike about Hotel Villa Vinum

This hotel is truly special in every way and we are already planning our next trip! I travelled there with my mother after visiting Cochem once nearly 30 years ago. The hotel is excellently situated between the station and town (less than 5 mins walk each way) and is in a wonderfully restored old building which has maintained many of its original design features. Done up in a an eco-friendly way, the hotel has been luxuriously decorated with so much care paid to every unique detail. Our room was on the first floor and had a balcony. It overlooked the vineyards at the back and was lovely and very quiet, even though we stayed in the middle of the wine festival! The bed was comfortable and the decor / level of comfort in the room had been well thought out, with attention paid to every need a guest may have. The breakfast is fresh, plentiful and with many choices, most of which are homemade. It is laid out beautifully as well. But the best thing about the hotel are its wonderful staff, especially the owners Monika and Theodore. My mother was taken ill on the trip and needed to go to the hospital and dentist (out of town) on the Saturday night. Not only did Theo take us to the hospital and dentist that night as we did not have our own car, but he then drove out of his way on the Sunday to pick up her medication at a pharmacy in a different town. They took care of us wonderfully, even down to providing dinner for me late at night when they realised I had not had time to eat due to being with my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for its location, design and comfort, but most of all its service, which is probably the best we have ever experienced!
